E. Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., "Regulator No. 7" time piece, 8 day, time only, weight driven movement in walnut case with reverse painted tablets and painted metal dial, c1874
CONDITION:
the case is nicely rubbed down and waxed. The dial and lower tablet are repainted. The pendulum bob is a replacement. Clean & runs briskly. As an aside, except for the No. 10 all other sizes were special orders, and one can sometimes find different movements in use. This particular one mounts from the center rear, as is proper, and retains its original wooden shim under the movement to bring the hands to the proper height. Ht 50"
